How to remove dried paint off wood floor
After painting the walls, dried water-based paint spots are left on the
wood floor. l are asking how to remove them.
I don't know about the general contractors answer. If you just
sand one area of the floor your still going to have to try to match the
varnish of that area all over again. Chemicals can harm a real wood
floor. If it is real wood, try a razor blade at a real steep slope and
try to cut it off. If it has stained the wood itself, your going to have
to have it resanded, stained, and finished.
Well, you can use some of the stuff they have on the market
like ''Oops.'' Its the only thing that works. The rest like crude kutter
etc etc dont work at all. What you can do is use some lacquer thinner &
try to get it off the floor if you have refinished floors. But, if you
dont have refinished floors, then you will have to use a belt sander which
you can get at home depot for like 75 buxx. If you want to save yourself
the trouble, just go & hire a floor guy to sand & revarnish ur floor. I dont know where you live, but over here, it costs 150 a room. And if its alot of rooms, it will cost like 100 each.
Wood floors are hard becauce they are special floors. You
should ask at a home repair place what they recommend.
